Skin Tightening

Skin laxity is one of the most common concerns we see, and it's also one of the most treatable — when the right technology is matched to the right patient. At Renovaré, we don't rely on a single device or brand. We draw from three proven platforms that each deliver tightening results through different mechanisms, allowing us to build a plan that fits your skin, your concerns, and how much downtime you can realistically manage.
All three treatments work by stimulating your body's own collagen and elastin production. The difference is in how deep they go, how much resurfacing is involved, and what the recovery looks like. A consultation is where we figure out which approach — or combination — makes the most sense for you.
Alma Opus Plasma
Opus Plasma uses fractional radiofrequency energy delivered through a plasma mechanism to create controlled micro-ablations on the skin's surface while simultaneously heating the dermis below. This dual action resurfaces and tightens at the same time, making it well suited for patients dealing with mild to moderate laxity, enlarged pores, fine lines, acne scarring, and overall texture irregularities. It works on all skin tones and has a manageable recovery of a few days of redness and mild swelling. A series of treatments is typically recommended to progressively build results.
Vivace RF Microneedling
Vivace is a radiofrequency microneedling system that delivers RF energy through insulated microneedles at precise depths into the dermis. This stimulates a strong collagen response in the deeper skin layers without significant surface disruption, which means less visible downtime than ablative options. It's particularly effective for skin laxity, fine lines, early jowling, pore size, and improving the overall quality and firmness of the skin. Many patients appreciate Vivace for its combination of effectiveness and comfort — numbing is applied beforehand, and most people resume normal activities the same or next day. It can also be useful for targeted concerns like submental fat reduction under the chin and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in the underarms when applied to those specific areas.
Pearl Fractional (Erbium Laser)
The Pearl Fractional is an Erbium-based ablative fractional laser that works at a deeper level than either Opus Plasma or Vivace. It removes precise columns of skin tissue to trigger a more significant resurfacing response, which translates to more dramatic tightening and texture improvement — especially for patients with more advanced laxity, deeper wrinkles, or pronounced sun damage. The trade-off is a longer recovery of about five to seven days, sometimes more depending on depth. For patients who are ready to invest in that downtime, the results can be genuinely transformative.
How We Choose
These three treatments are not interchangeable — each has a specific place in a treatment plan depending on what we find in consultation. Some patients are best served by one option alone. Others benefit from combining approaches at different points in their care. The goal is always to match the technology to the individual, not to promote any single device or brand. If you're ready to find out which direction makes sense for your skin, we'd love to talk.

Skin tightening at Renovaré uses three proven platforms — Opus Plasma, Vivace RF Microneedling, and Pearl Fractional — to address laxity at different depths and deliver results tailored to your skin and your life.

Answers to your frequently asked questions.
That's exactly what a consultation is for. We'll assess your skin, talk through your goals and how much downtime works for you, and recommend the option or combination that makes the most sense for where you're starting.
Yes, in some cases. Vivace and Opus Plasma can be used at different phases of a treatment plan to address both surface texture and deeper laxity. Pearl Fractional is often used as a standalone deeper reset. Your provider will recommend the right sequence.
Vivace typically requires one to two days of mild redness. Opus Plasma involves a few days of redness and swelling. Pearl Fractional involves five to seven days of more active recovery including peeling and redness. All are manageable with proper aftercare.
Initial improvement from any of these treatments can be visible within one to two weeks. Deeper collagen remodeling continues for two to six months, with continued improvement over time as the skin rebuilds.
